Keflavík International (KEF) is Iceland's only major airport, 50 minutes from Reykjavík. Icelandair and PLAY offer stopover programs from Europe to North America. The FlyBus and rental car counters are all inside the terminal.
The default way to see Iceland. A 2WD is fine for the Ring Road; you'll need a 4WD for F-roads (highlands) in summer.
Reykjavík Excursions, Gray Line, and small-group operators cover the Golden Circle and South Coast if you don't want to drive.
Air Iceland Connect flies to Akureyri (north) in ~45 minutes — huge time-saver in winter.
Limited outside Reykjavík and slow — plan around them only if you're on a tight budget.
