The Ring Road: waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, and fjords.

Ten days is the minimum for a full Ring Road loop without exhausting yourself. Rent a 4x4 in shoulder seasons and pre-book huts and hot springs.

Day 1: Arrive Keflavík. Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon on the way to Reykjavík.
Day 2: Golden Circle: Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, Secret Lagoon.
Day 3: South coast: Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara black beach, sleep in Vík.
Day 4: Skaftafell hike + Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and Diamond Beach.
Day 5: Drive east fjords to Egilsstaðir. Stop for puffins at Djúpivogur.
Day 6: Lake Mývatn: pseudocraters, Dimmuborgir, Mývatn Nature Baths.
Day 7: Húsavík whale watching, Goðafoss waterfall, sleep in Akureyri.
Day 8: Troll Peninsula scenic drive to Varmahlíð or Blönduós.
Day 9: Snæfellsnes peninsula: Kirkjufell, Arnarstapi cliffs, Djúpalónssandur.
Day 10: Drive back to Keflavík, fly home.

Book campsites/guesthouses months ahead for summer — they sell out.
Check road.is and vedur.is daily; F-roads open late June to early September only.
Fuel up at every station on the east and north — long gaps between pumps.
Bring a swimsuit everywhere; every town has a geothermal pool worth stopping for.
